Half Term and Halloween Fun To Help Kids Learn About Responsible Pet Ownership
To help keep kids entertained during the October half term, Pets at Home has launched a series of new spook-tacular virtual activities on its free My Pet Pals educational activity hub for children and families.
Designed to educate the next generation of pet owners about keeping pets safe, happy and healthy, the latest My Pet Pals series is Halloween-themed, focusing on wonderous rats and super spiders!
Available on the Pets at Home website now, the latest activities to get kids into the spooky spirit include:
- ‘Learn about’ educational videos: teaching all about the welfare needs of rats and spiders, including how to care for them, as well as interesting facts and advice
- Digital activity booklet: with fun and engaging spider and rat-themed games including spot the difference, join the dots and word spotting
- Downloadable activities: including an Autumn scavenger hunt, a booklet of downloadable games, interactive colouring templates, design-your-own rat and spider themed masks, and more!
Karen Heskin, Head of Pets at Pets at Home Group, said: “All activities have been carefully designed with our pet care advisors and vets to help educate children and help promote responsible pet ownership, while providing hours of fun to keep them entertained during the school holidays.”
The new activities join a wide range of interactive and educational resources on the My Pet Pals hub. From story time videos and exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ tours of a Groom Room salon and Vets4Pets practice, to plenty more downloadable activities and ‘how to’ guides, the hub is designed for parents, carers and their children aged 5 and over.
