Colour themed playdate platters
Over the half term recently we have had lots of play dates with friends, where normally someone either provides us with food or we bring our own lunch boxes. But this half term we came up with a much more fun way to provide the food!
Whilst scrolling through TikTok I found a new trend where people come to parties with a different platter, each with a colour theme of food! Most of these were aimed at adults, but I thought this could be something really fun for our children to get involved in!
So we got together with some friends and all the children chose a colour each. My daughter chose white, which I was initially a bit nervous about, but actually, she came up with most of the foods herself!
All of our children absolutely loved this activity! They had to really be creative about what foods they could have and they were so excited to see what everyone else had on their boards. It made our play date extra fun and we got the bonus of getting lots of yummy food to eat too! I would definitely recommend doing this with family and friends, especially if you have children.
Some good ideas that my children came up with for different colours were:
White
Marshmallows
White chocolate
Prawn crackers
Cream cheese sandwiches
Popcorn
Red
Strawberries
Raspberries
Tomatoes
Jam on toast
Peppers
Orange
Carrot sticks
Cheesy crisps
Oranges

Orange skittles
Brown
Chocolate bars
Sausages
Breaded chicken
Chocolate cake
Cola bottle sweets
Purple
Beetroot crisps
Purple grapes
Purple bear roll-ups
Purple party rings
Ham
Green
Apples
Grapes
Celery
Broccoli
Sugar snap peas
