Beach themed Tuff Tray activity for kids
To celebrate World Ocean Day 2021, we wanted to make our own beach themed Tuff Tray. This activity took a bit of time to prepare, but my children had so much fun playing with it, that it was definitely worth it!
This activity enabled me to talk to my children about the Ocean and they had so much fun letting their imaginations run wild.
What you need to set up the activity:
- Rice Cereal for the sand
- Aqua beads for the sea – plan ahead for this one as it took quite a bit of time to separate out all the blue and clear aqua beads.
- Sea animals
- Sea shells
- Rocks or pebbles
- Toy Mermaids.
You can be creative yourself in how you set this up. You can either set this up ahead, so it is a surprise for your children, or you could get them involved in laying it all out. I set mine up ahead and my children instantly rearranged everything, to include lots of fun things like rock pools for the mermaids.
