SUNDAES WITH SUNDAY: FERNE MCCANN AND DAUGHTER SUNDAY STAR IN FRIDAYS’ LATEST CAMPAIGN

Following the appointment of Ferne McCann as Fridays’ official brand ambassador, Sundaes with Sunday marks her first activation with the brand

·       Ferne’s daughter Sunday is the star of the newest campaign which showcases Fridays’ new and best-ever kids’ menu

Fridays, part of newly listed Hostmore plc, announced today the launch of its ‘Sundaes with Sunday’ campaign starring UK Brand Ambassador Ferne McCann and her daughter, Sunday. The new campaign showcases Ferne and Sunday enjoying the perfect mother-daughter day out at Fridays, exploring the brand’s new kids’ menu as well as Sunday creating her very own unique Sundae.

Fridays’ best-ever kids menu offers a great range of options for its youngest diners includes a variety of balanced and delicious choices and all served with sticks of apple, cucumber and carrot. New dishes include cheese-tastic Halloumi fingers, Heinz Beanz Burger, Veggie Sausages & Baked Beans Pot, a Chicken Wrap and Vegan Meatballs.

Younger guests can choose from either a base of vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt; a flavoured sauce and up to three toppings including a range of both sweet and healthy choices such as strawberries, banana, and Oreo® pieces. Kids can also opt for the vegan fresh fruit sundae with frozen orange sorbet and Chilly Billy ice lolly or mini donuts served with a choice of chocolate or strawberry sauce.

Fridays’ teamed up with Ferne and Sunday to create Sunday’s Sundae! Sunday suggests starting with vanilla ice cream and layering your favourite toppings carefully (as she does herself) to make sure that there’s some in every scoop. For a balanced treat, Sunday opted for strawberries, white chocolate buttons and Oreo® pieces, topped with chocolate sauce (before adding a few more Oreo pieces!) to make her perfect sundae.

Being able to work on this campaign alongside Sunday has been great because family mealtimes are very important to me and it can often be difficult finding a restaurant that has the right options for both adults and kids”, said Ferne McCann, Brand Ambassador for Fridays. “Fridays is perfect for family meals out because there truly is something for everyone and I love that Sunday can choose and have a bit of independence when we visit, especially when it comes to her dessert!
