If you're looking for some fun things to do as a family in Lincoln this Octover Half-Term, look no further! Visit Lincoln have put together a list of some of the best family days out. 

Dog-Friendly Weekend at Lincoln Castle (23-24 October) 

No trip to Lincoln is complete without a visit to the iconic Castle. Dating back to 1068, Lincoln Castle offers its visitors an interactive discovery of British history over the past millennia. Throughout the summer, guests are invited to bring their dogs along with them to experience the castle. Dogs can accompany their humans on a journey back through history exploring the Medieval Wall Walk, Victorian Prison, and the Magna Carta.

The Frequency Festival (28-31 October) 

Marking its tenth anniversary this year, the digital arts and cultural event, Frequency Festival, will return to the streets of Lincoln over four days in October, offering visitors a new and immersive way to explore the historic city. Running from 28th to 31st October 2021, the biennial Frequency Festival is an imaginative fusion of art, heritage, media, and culture and is a celebration of creative achievement with ‘Connection’ as this year’s theme. 

The Frequency Festival turns the city into an open-air gallery, featuring works from established and emerging artists around Lincoln’s historic centre, and based around the Cornhill Quarter. Open-air installations, live performances, and exhibitions showcasing the invention and creativity of artists, designers, and technologists working together, take over the city’s outdoor spaces. Find out more here at: www.visitlincoln.com and https://frequency.org.uk/ 

Lincoln Ghost Walk  

Take a bewitching tour around the city on the award-winning Lincoln Ghost Walk. Led by experienced guides, the tours allow visitors to delve into the tales of hauntings in Lincoln. The tours follow a round around Lincoln’s historic Cathedral Quarter, giving a great glimpse into the city’s main attractions as well as some enthralling ghost stories. The walks are suitable for ages and last for around 70 minutes.

Kids Ghost Hunt at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park (31st October) 

Visit Lincolnshire Wildlife Park this Halloween to enjoy a spooky family walk. Visitors will see the park’s amazing species of animals and birds as they walk through but will also be greeted by ghosts and ghouls hiding amongst them. Guests who find all the ghosts in the park will win a special treat, in addition to several other competitions and games that will be running throughout the day also.
