LONDON: OCTOBER 11, 2021

Eco-friendly boat company, GoBoat, is putting on the ultimate half term activity this month – an immersive, pirate-themed treasure hunt aboard boats on London’s Regents Canal.

For one week only (starting Monday October 25th) the family friendly, self-drive GoBoat in Paddington, London is inviting guests of all ages to take to the capitals water in hunt of treasure.

Tales of swashbuckling pirates have been around for centuries – from one-legged Long John Silver to Captain Hook to the swaggering Captain Jack Sparrow – and now it’s time to experience your own pirate’s tale!

All guests will be greeted by actors to immerse them into the experience and sent on their way to find the X that marks the spot. All before setting sail and being greeted by friendly pirates along the way to give clues and riddles.

To encourage guests to get in to character too, there will be a selection of bounties for those who take part. Everything from boat trip vouchers to free meals to Halloween prizes are up for grabs to those wearing the best Halloween costumes.

Groups of up to eight can board each boat and the experience is both dog and child friendly with life jackets and buoyancy aids provided. No prior boating knowledge is necessary, with GoBoat pirates giving a full tutorial before setting sail, meaning it’s something for the whole family to enjoy.

GoBoat Head of Marketing, Ryan Price, said: “GoBoat is a great family experience but this half term we wanted to put on something extra special. Our treasure hunt on the canal is going to be one to remember with our cast of pirates ready to get the whole family in the pirate and Halloween spirit. We can’t wait to welcome guests to this experience and see some of the great costumes on show”

Guests will enjoy a leisurely cruise, with the boats travelling at speeds of 4mph, and take in some of London’s most impressive views including Little Venice and Camden Lock (Paddington) along the way.

GoBoat recommends a two-hour booking to complete the Pirate Treasure Hunt experience which can be booked at www.goboat.co.uk
