There’s lots going on in Devon this Easter, if you’re spending time in the county this month, here are a couple things that should be on your radar.

For those of you looking for family friendly things to do, there is an Easter Egg hunt taking place at Pecorama and what’s more, anyone who turns up in fancy dress gets a prize! So, get those rabbit ears and Easter bonnets at the ready!

Speaking of rabbits, the Easter Bunny has been hard at work hiding eggs all around Bear Town and needs your help to find them before the big day – any kids who help out will get a yummy Easter treat! Join them from 9th – 24th April to get involved.

If you’re visiting the English Riviera, Babbacombe Model Village are also offering an Easter Egg Trail. See if you can find all the colourful eggs hidden all over the village, if you find them all you’ll get a prize. The trail will be taking place from 2nd – 24th April.

For those of you visiting North Devon, make sure to stop off at the Milky Way and visit the Easter Grotto. This new and unique experience is running from 9th – 24th April and is a chance to find out where the Easter Bunny gets its magic! Journey down the rabbit hole and visit the new Easter Bunny HQ where you can meet the Eggsperts who are controlling the population of the world’s chocolate eggs, you’ll also get to meet the Easter Bunny themselves! That’s as well as enjoying all the usual rides and activities onsite. While you’re in the region, why not take a trip to the historic village of Clovelly where you can join the challenge to find all the Easter chicks. On entry, children can pick up a village map which will mark the location of some hidden chicks, if you can find ten or more, you’ll get a prize. It’s a great way to get out and about and work off some of that energy from all those chocolates!

For something entertaining and educational, visit the Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth for their Easter Nature Trail. Follow the trail around the sanctuary to discover what animals (aside from the donkeys of course) call it home and along the way, you can find out more about biodiversity and how maintaining these habitats help the donkeys that live there. Once you’ve completed the trail, you get an Easter egg and your own bag of seeds to take home with you.

There are sessions taking place at Roadford Lake where you can explore the fascinating world of bugs with their Magnificent Beasts activities. After the session, everyone who takes part will get a discount for the onsite café where you can enjoy some seasonal treats. As this is an outdoor event, make sure to bring suitable clothing and shoes.

If you’re visiting over the Easter weekend, with or without kids, why not spend the day enjoying the bluebells at Hartland Abbey? Those with kids can follow the clues along the path to find a hidden treasure, while the adults can spend some time appreciating the beautiful spring flowers and sea views. The other usual activities and exhibits will also be open for you to enjoy.

Those of you that that love getting away for the Easter bank holiday will want to book a stay at Langstone Cliff Hotel for their Easter Weekend celebrations. As always, there is a fantastic line up of entertainment and even an Easter Egg hunt if you want to get involved and challenge yourself! With activities for everyone aged 8 months to 80 years, this is one not to be missed.
