Autumnal Family Break to the New Forest: 2 nights from £80 pp

The season of Autumn is one of the best times of year to visit the New Forest, when the trees and bushes turn fiery red and gold, and the site of pigs can be seen roaming around munching up the acorns which can be poisonous to the ponies and donkeys.  The perfect place to stay for a family break is The Mortimer Arms pub, which is within walking distance of Paulton’s Park, home to the famous Peppa Pig World!  The traditional inn has spacious gardens and 14 boutique bedrooms including two suites.  What’s more, the pub is also dog friendly so the family pet can also enjoy long walks in the forest!  The Mortimer Arms is also ideally located for exploring other well-known spots in the forest including Beaulieu National Motor Museum, Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst.  A two-night break for a family of four (two adults and two children), in October costs just £234 (total – a saving of 10% when booked direct), staying in a family room, on a B&B basis.  Call 023 8081 4379 or visit www.mortimerarms.co.uk.
