Frozen Themed Ice Play Activity

As many of our regular readers will know, my two little ones LOVE ice play! So will the weather being so nice we have been doing lots more of it!

My daughter loves the Disney Frozen film, so we decided to combine one of our favourite activity ideas with our favourite characters.

I tried to make this one a bit different by freezing the characters in bigger Tupperware containers, so my children had to work a bit harder to set them free! My children loved the challenge and it was great as it made the activity last a bit longer.

We used characters from the Disney film ‘Frozen’, but you could use any small-world toys you have to hand 😃

All you need for this activity is:

• A tuff tray or similar
• Some containers of different sizes
• Small-world toys, that will easily fit into your containers
• Water
• A freezer
• Tools to break the ice, we used a wooden rolling pin, spoon, some pippets and some warm water.

This activity does need thinking about the night before,  as you need to fill your Tupperware containers with the toys and water, and then they can be put in the freezer to freeze overnight. 

When you are ready to do the activity just lay it all out on the tray and let your children work out how to set their toys free.  We made this a bit more realistic by having Elsa out on the side, so it looked like she had frozen her friends and family in the ice.
