Our Honest Review of the Ethic DTC Erawan V2 Complete Stunt Scooter – Tried and Tested by My 10-Year-Old

When the team at Skates.co.uk got in touch just before the summer holidays, it couldn’t have been better timing. With two energetic kids at home and plenty of local park trips on the horizon, we jumped at the chance to review one of their scooters — and let’s just say, it’s been a hit!

They sent us the Ethic DTC Erawan V2 Complete Stunt Scooter in Black, and my son Oscar (age 10) was very excited when it arrived. He’s always loved scooting to the park or racing around with friends, so this felt like a pretty cool upgrade — especially as we’ve had a few scooters over the years, including one stunt model.

Here's what we thought.

Quick and Easy to Assemble

First off, a huge tick for ease of setup. My husband put it together really quickly — everything we needed came in the box, and it was all very straightforward (thankfully!).

First Impressions

Oscar’s face lit up when he first saw it in the garden. He said it looked “really cool” — which, from a 10-year-old boy, is high praise! He did mention it felt a bit heavy when he first picked it up, so we weren’t sure how he’d find it once he started riding.

Out for a Test Ride

That doubt disappeared pretty quickly. As soon as he got going, he turned to me with a massive grin and said, “Mum, this is fast!” Speed is a big deal for him, and he absolutely loved how smoothly and quickly it moved.

He also found the turning and steering really easy, and said it felt “solid” — not wobbly or plasticky like some cheaper scooters we’ve had before. It gave him loads of confidence trying small jumps and scooting around ramps at our local skate park.

One unexpected feature he thought was “awesome” was the brake — it’s short, slows you down well, and even makes you skid a little (cue lots of screeching and laughter from him and his friends!).

A Mum’s Take

From my perspective, it’s a great all-round stunt scooter — especially for active kids like mine who love being outdoors and constantly on the move. I’m always trying to encourage screen-free time, so toys like this that genuinely get them out in the fresh air and having fun with friends are a win in my book.

The scooter feels sturdy and well-made, looks great, and definitely has that bit of extra quality you want when your child is using it for tricks, ramps, and higher impact play.

Would We Recommend It?

Absolutely. If you’ve got a child who enjoys skate parks, jumps, or simply wants a fast, solid scooter to ride with friends, we’d definitely recommend the Ethic DTC Erawan V2. It’s best suited for confident riders who want to push themselves a bit — and it’s been a big hit in our house this summer.
