Mammoth Slip and Slide at Greendale Farm Shop – A Splashing Good Day Out!
Tucked just behind the farm shop, the slide is well organised and super family-friendly. There’s parking right next to the site (lifesaver with wet kids!), plus picnic benches and loads of space to lay out blankets and enjoy the atmosphere.
After a quick safety briefing, my 8-year-old daughter was straight up the hill with her rubber ring and flew down the slide grinning from ear to ear. The queue moved quickly, and the staff were amazing—gently encouraging the nervous ones and giving a boost to the thrill-seekers!
My 10-year-old, who’s not usually a fan of adrenaline activities, gave it one go and then happily spent the rest of the time watching, cheering people on, and enjoying the vibe. There’s music playing, a snack hut for treats, and plenty of space to run around.
Top tip: Bring the right gear—swimwear or sportswear, a towel, and maybe socks or wetsuit shoes as the ground can get hot on sunny days.
All in all, it was such a fun way to spend an hour. We’ll definitely be going back—especially with friends in tow next time!
