Author, Sarah Turner aka. ‘The Unmumsy Mum’ and Ambassador of literacy charity UK Reads led a South-West book drop to encourage a love of reading and support children who don’t own a book of their own at home.
Sarah visited a school and refuge centre in Exeter to distribute books and encourage people to donate to the charity’s Big Give Christmas Campaign.
Following increased demand over the summer for educational resources related to the needs of pupils arriving from overseas, educational publisher Twinkl, whose mission is to ‘help those who teach’ has launched a dedicated area on its website ‘International New Arrivals’ - designed to support educators, children and their families.
