When an emergency situation occurs, it can seem all-encompassing. It can take over the news, it can trend on social media, and it can be the topic of conversation everywhere you go. This can be difficult for people of any age to process, so for children, particularly young children, news of a natural disaster can be deeply distressing and even traumatic.
Together for Childhood and partners have joined forces to launch a campaign to help young people understand the impact of pornography and its link with violence against women and girls.
This week (February 6th-12th) marks this year’s Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness week, which makes it the perfect time for the group and its partners to launch the initiative.
Legal and General partnered with Clinical Psychologist Dr Angharad Rudkin to explore the importance of having difficult conversations with children, including that about organ donation. Dr Rudkin discussed how to approach the conversation appropriately and provided some useful tips for parents wanting to engage their child in such conversations.
