Home made Sweet Cones
We have recently had my son's birthday party and I have been trying to think of some party favours that the children would love but weren't full of plastic that would most likely end up in the bin.
My son loves sweets so I found these sweet cones, which I thought were perfect! They also had the added benefit that we could have some fun at home making them ourselves!
How to make sweet cones
What you will need
- Cone bags
- Sweets
We found some see-through cone bags at our local craft shop, in hindsight, I think I could have saved quite a bit of money by buying them in bulk online but it's nice to support local shops if you can. I went to our local supermarket and picked up some of our favourite sweets.
You will need some fairly small sweets to go at the bottom of the bags, we chose Rainbow drops, but sweets like mini marshmallows and millions will work well too.
For the rest of the layers, I used a selection of jelly babies, Haribo, and chocolate buttons.
This made such a great activity for kids as well as being a huge hit with the children at the party. We will certainly be experimenting with different themed bags for events in the future.
If you do try and make these we would love to see them! Just take and picture and tag us in them on Facebook, Instagram, or Tiktok.
