We love going for fun family days out, but they can get expensive really quickly!

One way I have found to keep costs down is these handy Robinsons squash pods and the quick milk milkshake straws.

My daughter loves drinking squash and can easily empty her drink bottle. There are lots of places where you can top up a drinks bottle with water, so these little pods are great to add to it to make her favourite drink. I found these pods in most of the big supermarkets. They come in apple and blackcurrant, orange and summer fruits flavours and they cost around £2. The liquid is so concentrated, so only give a really small squeeze ( trust me, I learned the hard way 🤣). They say there is enough liquid for 20 glasses of squash, so should last a long time. They are also small enough to not take up much space in a bag.

Even if it means you buy a glass of milk ( which is so much cheaper) then use the straw. Or you can take a cool flask with some milk in it to use throughout the day. These can be a bit harder to find, but I have seen them in Sainsbury’s and B&M. My two get so excited about these straws and think they are such a treat!

Hopefully, these tips will help you keep the cost down 😃 do you have any other cost-saving tips for days out?
