THE BEST TIME TO BUY YOUR HOLIDAY ESSENTIALS
The summer holidays are an exciting time, and with a little bit of forward planning they can also be more affordable than ever before.
Money experts at Sambla have researched the cost of those all important summer items to find out whether it's worth delaying your holiday shop to save the pennies.
To conduct the study we researched and analysed one-year of price comparison data for each of the below items from pricespy.co.uk. Whilst the data showed that the majority of these items peak in price in March to April, ahead of the Easter holidays, we noted down their cheapest sale price between April to September (the end of the school holidays) to coincide with the popular holiday period.
For example, the most expensive time to buy a 44L suitcase is in April for £164, whereas historic data shows that this same item was previously listed for just £80 between May to September 2023 - a difference of 105%
