Magic Painting activity
This is my go to activity on sunny days when the children need a bit of extra stimulation but I haven’t set anything up and don’t want a big tidy up job afterwards.
All you need is a paintbrush and a pot of water, that’s it! Then tell the children that they can go and paint anything out in the garden. They may want to paint pictures on the patio, or pretend to paint the fence like mummy and daddy do. The magic bit is that the sun will dry the water marks and make them disappear.
Children often love this activity as they feel like they are breaking the rules a bit, my children looked at me in disbelief when I first told them that they could paint the shed and their playhouse! They often have races too as to who can finish writing their names or drawing a picture before it starts to disappear.
