By going there visitors can “travel” the world and see a range of amazing animals from different countries.

Within a short walk there is the award-winning Bear Wood with brown bears, lynxes, wolves and wolverines living in the natural surroundings these species would have done in England thousands of years ago.

There is also the chance to explore 50 acres of outdoor space including woodlands and the glorious Tower Meadow.

For those who are a little more adventurous there is the climbing wall and giant swing at Leap of Faith which reopens after its winter break for February half-term.

James Kitto, Head of Commercial Operations for Bristol Zoological Society’s Wild Place Project, said: “There are so many ways to enjoy a visit to Wild Place Project. It is the perfect day out for a February half-term – fun and fascinating for all the family.

“Plus as a conservation charity, every visitor is helping us in our mission of saving wildlife together.”

Bristol Zoo Gardens and Wild Place Project are run by Bristol Zoological Society, a conservation and education charity which relies on the generous support of the public not only to fund its important work at both zoos, but also its vital conservation projects both in the UK and across the world.
