Healthy kids’ food brand Little Dish, is launching a brand-new meal in supermarkets nationwide this September. The veg-packed Mac & Cheese dish has been launched in collaboration with London’s leading food redistribution charity, The Felix Project, and will be accompanied with a Buy One, Give One™ promise - with Little Dish donating a healthy meal to the charity on behalf of consumers for every purchase. Little Dish aims to feed 500,000 children in need via the Buy One, Give One™ promise.

The meal was developed following new Little Dish research1 which uncovered that Mac & Cheese was one of the most popular comfort foods for children, according to parents. It is made using 100% natural ingredients and has butternut squash and sweet potato in a cheesy sauce, delivering one of a child’s recommended 5-a-day.

For every meal sold, Little Dish will feed a child in need. As a purpose-led, family run business we are committed to ensuring that all families have access to healthy and nutritious meals, and our Buy One, Give One program means more families, no matter their circumstance, can provide nutritious meals to their children.”

Will Savage, Head of Corporate Partnerships, from The Felix Project comments: “We know the cost-of-living crisis is having a devastating impact on people’s lives and their ability to put food on their table, recent research found 1 in 6 London parents cannot afford to feed their children. That is why partnerships like our one with Little Dish are so vital. Thanks to their Buy One, Give One™ scheme we will be able to deliver much needed healthy and nutritious meals to children in need via our network of community and family centres.”

Charlotte Stirling-Reed, The Baby & Child Nutritionist, comments: “I’m so excited about this fantastic initiative for Little Dish alongside The Felix Project and am so proud to be working with Little Dish who always go above and beyond. This is another brilliant project and will help so many children who need meals on their table. As part of this Little Dish have created a new meal and focused on a family favourite – Mac & Cheese, which makes so much sense, but have added extras to ensure that children will get a delicious and filling meal, which also includes a portion of veggies too.”

The delicious recipe is also packaged in Little Dish’s market leading, and the UK’s most sustainable meal tray, which is made from 85% wood fibre and 100% recyclable to help protect the environment. Little Dish Mac & Cheese will be available in the chilled meals aisle at Tesco, Waitrose, Morrisons and Ocado stores nationwide and online from 20th September 2023, RRP £2.85.
