IT’S MAGIC!

Lumicolour Bear – A nightlight that detects colour!

Did you know… leading nursery brand, Angelcare also has the most amazing range of nightlights too?

Psychotherapist and Best Selling Author Anna Mathur discusses how the Lumicolour Bear nightlight’s unique features can help during the bedtime routine…

The Lumicolour Bear is a nightlight like no other. In one of its three settings, this ingenious, multi-use nightlight actually changes colour, to the colour its touching!

Simply place the Lumicolour bear on a blue surface, and he will glow blue; sit him on the colour green, and you’ve guessed it – he turns green!  This clever ‘chameleon’ mode allows children to choose their own hue to suit their mood.

Discussing this distinctive feature, Psychotherapist and Best Selling Author Anna Mathur said: “At a time in life where many decisions are made for children by adults and carers (especially if a child has complex needs), giving a child the ability to choose (a colour) according to their needs and preferences, is really pertinent, as it gives them a valuable sense of autonomy and control.

“Sometimes we seek colour to facilitate mood change, e.g. seeking blue for calm when feeling unsettled. By allowing this color choice, the Lumicolour Bear nightlight helps support right moments.”

The Lumicolour Bear, also features a ‘rainbow’ mode, where it changes colour slowly, and children can freeze on their favourite colour.

A dim ‘reassuring’ light to see in the dark, which can be set to automatically switch off after 45-minutes, and a slightly brighter light, perfect for bedtime story reading.

This loveable, cheerful character’s soft round body is small enough for little hands to hold, and because its not connected to an electricity source by a cord and plug, it’s completely portable and offers low-level visibility, perfect for older children to take with them on late night toilet trips.

Commenting on her personal use of the product, Anna Mathur revealed: “We have used the Lumicolour Bear on the lowest setting when my 3-year-old was unwell and required medicine in the night. The low light meant we could check on her without turning on a bright lamp, so that she could remain as settled as possible, whilst visible to us.”

Other featurs of the Lumicolour Bear include:

Fully rechargeable (no batteries)

Charge lasts 24-hours

LED light, which is cool to the touch and doesn’t heat up

Can be used in continuous mode (or automatic switch off)

RRP: £35
